Happy New Year! Here’s wishing you all the best in 2010! All the holiday festivities found me wishing for something new and unique to wear to friends’ drop-in parties, and the more gala affairs. So . . . back to Naive! Found just the right little knit dress for an early evening dinner with friends and the various open-house gatherings. The STACIE dress comes in a nice selection of colors but, I picked the green for the holidays, and because I could wear my dear Sis’ delightful Holly & Ivy jewelry set with it. I heard a lot of nice compliments and this little number will be a regular outfit for me, even after the holidays!

I have a New Years Resolution to go dancing more! And I found a perfect new dancing dress to motivate me to keep that resolution! The CLAIRE dress from Naive is an eye-catching piece, with it’s delicately placed floral design at the somewhat daring bodice, and the fascinating asymmetric skirt with the irregular edge highlighting the top skirt opening. But, take to the dance floor to really see why this is a new favorite for me. The skirt floats and swirls so naturally.

Every once in a while you find somethng so cute you just have to start there and build up. Naive’s new Double Socks presented exactly that challenge – and most of the solution too! I didn’t have to look far to discover the perfect mini-skirt from the Naive Basic Short Skirt Set. Pondered for a moment, trying to decide between the brown and beige skirt, and resolved it easily by grabbing the fat pack! Then nearby I spotted the Carolina Top. Shopping separates at Naive is such a delight. The colors and textrues are easy to match up, and the styles offer lots of options to experiment. So there I stood in my cute socks and the great casual outfit looking through my closet for just the right shoes. Hmmmm . . . would you believe, only three pair of flats and not a match among ‘em? Several hundred heels tho So what’s a girl to do? Call up XStreet and search for flats. And what a great find at Duh! - a great variety of nicely done buckle flats at only $L10 each! Topping off this fun little outfit with one of my favorite hats from Couture Chapeau and the Girl-Next-Door is off exploring!

We are still enjoying some pleasant evenings here, and the frost hasn’t quite hit the pumpkins so . . . looking for something soft and light and not real formal for that evening of dinner and dancing underthe stars, I was delighted to find the Analu dress. Since we often end up at the Blue Note on these evenings, the color choice was easy, and it turned out to be a super match to these Baba Yaga heels from Enkythings, that I just adore. I just added the Beaded touch choker from EarthStones and was off to sing the Blues in the Night! ks
